Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION, FOSTER, or FOSTER TO ADOPT ***
Meet Travis! He is currently enrolled in our P.A.C.K. Program, a 9-week intensive program for routine obedience, agility, and handling training with a prison inmate trainer and he is almost ready to show off his new skills! His new abilities include 'sit', 'down', 'shake' and more! New adopters should realize that PACK Program graduates will require regular, ongoing reinforcement of learned behaviors in order for them to become permanent.
Travis has the best facial expressions in all the land! His smile is contagious. He is a young pup who is learning self control and how to manage his energy. When he first went to PACK, he was a blank slate. He is learning to not be a "wrecking ball", and that the more he behaves the most snacks he gets! He likes playing with the other dogs, but can come off a bit rude sometimes. Monitored play with other canines is best.
Travis cannot go to a home with cats. They aren't friends of his. Although he can be a bit mouthy, and plant a sloppery kiss on your face, we think he'd be ok around children with supervision.
He is potty trained and kennel trained. It is highly reccommended Travis be kenneled when he is left alone. He does great in the kennel, but if left out, for even a short period, he becomes a "wrecking ball" again and thinks the trash looks tasty and that the beds and couches look fun to jump on.
Travis does well on a gentle leader and is enjoying walks with his handler. He will graduate towards the end of October. If you're looking for a young and enthusiastic pup, Travis is eager to meet you! Apply today.
