If you're looking to adopt Will Ferrell from Elf, but in dog form, look no further, Bean is your gal! She's got a zest for life and a genuine love of people, dogs, and especially toys!
Bean has an enthusiasm for toys that I've never seen in another dog. You're going to need a North Pole amount of toys for her. She can self entertain forever if she's well stocked. I've seen her literally fall asleep with her favorite fox toy still in her mouth.
Like Elf, she absolutely loves people and her favorite place to chew her toys is in your lap or right next to you. She also does love Zooming around the room, and Dirty Dancing-style she expects you to catch her when she leaps!
In terms of vices, she does have a hard time distinguishing toys from shoes or blankets but she's easily redirected if you let her know what's what! She also has an armpit fetish so get ready to have some thoroughly sniffed armpits. Lastly, she’ll wash it all down with your beer so guard your beverages!
She takes her training seriously and is well on her way to being a double platinum Good Girl. You can always train her more, but she's got a solid foundation already. She's great in her crate, great on leash, and understands “drop it / leave it”.
Bean is the happiest dog I've ever met. She gets along great with other dogs, is generous with her face licks, and is the most toy/treat-motivated dog. All she asks is that you scratch her butt and give her chew toys and she will pledge her undying loyalty to you. Oh, and peanut butter treats please. She's asking for those too.
Her favorite hobbies are:
* Snuggling you on the couch while you watch Bears games. Like them, she also loves zooming around outside chasing a ball.
* Self entertaining with her toys. Big fans of bones and soft floppy toys that she can lay in your lap and chew
* Biting the leaves off bushes one at a time like she's trying to figure out if that adopter loves her or loves her not. (Spoiler: You'll love her)

Crate trained - Does amazing in her crate during the day and at night, and for long stretches of time.

Great in the car - Likes to look out the window and has never puked! Keep her buckled in though because she is very willing to jump out the car window if it's open.
Medium energy - Short spurts of energy (including lots of zoomies!) and then hours of doing nothing. Give her toys to chew on otherwise she'll look for items to chew, like your slippers.
Dog friendly - She loves other dogs!
Older kid friendly - She's an absolute sweetie and not very big, but she gets the zoomies and has no reservations about absolute bowling over anything and anyone in her path. She's probably better suited for kids at least 50lbs (aka bigger than her).
