Meet Hansel & Gretel!
This adorable bonded pair of Golden Retrievers is looking for a loving forever home where they can stay together. Gretel (dob 06/2019), the 5.5-year-old social lovebug, is the perfect companion for Hansel (dob 02/2022), who is just 2 years old. Their hearts are full of love and joy, and they’re ready to share it with the right family!
Gretel is a classic Golden Retriever—friendly, affectionate, and always eager to meet new friends. She loves to play, cuddle, and be part of family activities. Whether it’s chasing a ball in the yard or snuggling on the couch, Gretel is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Hansel, on the other hand, has had a rough start in life. After being abandoned by their previous family and suffering abuse at the hands of a caretaker, Hansel has become skittish, particularly around men. However, when he’s with his beloved sister Gretel, he shines. Together, they create a beautiful bond, and Hansel transforms into a happy, social dog who loves to play and explore.
Key Details:
House and Potty Trained: Both Hansel and Gretel are well-behaved and ready to adapt to your home.
Needs More Exposure: Hansel requires gradual exposure to the outside world to build his confidence.
Leash Training: Hansel will benefit from additional leash training to help him feel more comfortable on walks.
What They Need:
A patient and understanding family who is committed to keeping them together.
Ideally, a home with experience in dog training, as Hansel will need gentle guidance and support to overcome his fears.
If you’re new to dog ownership, we require that you work with a trainer from the very beginning of the adoption process.
Good with Kids, Cats, and Other Dogs:
Hansel and Gretel have proven to be great companions for children, and they are also friendly with cats and other dogs. They have so much love to give and are eager to be part of a family.
If you’re ready to open your heart and home to Hansel and Gretel, you won’t just be gaining two loving dogs; you’ll be creating a forever family filled with happiness and love.
Let’s find these two a home where they can thrive together!
Hansel and Gretel can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when they find their forever home!
