My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Please contact Wendy (wjwebber119@yahoo.com) for more information about this pet.

Sylvan was discovered dumped at a community cat colony in Harrisburg's inner city. He was doing his best to fend for himself but was not faring well as an outside cat. Sylvan was scooped up and provided with an indoor home. He is now part of the Castaway Critters adoption program! Sylvan is a super fun little dude! He gets along fabulously with his feline housemates. He loves to play and chase toys. He also is a champion cat tree climber! Sylvan will do best in a home with another feline buddy around his age to go on adventures with. He should not be an only cat.

Sylvan has been neutered, vaccinated against rabies and distemper, microchipped and tested negative for FIV & FeLV.

Additional adoption info

We offer an online adoption application at www.castwaycritters.org. We do check references, vet references, and housechecks. Once you are approved, you will be required to fill out an adoption agreement. Our animals have all been wormed, altered and vaccinated. Cats have been tested for FIV/FeLV. For more information, see our website at www.castawaycritters.org.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

All of our animals are in foster care so please complete an application at our website (www.castawaycritters.org) before meeting them. Completing an application does not obligate you to adopt; however, it is required. Applications are processed in the order received in an effort to find the best match possible for both the dog and the adopter.

Please also check out our events page on our website as fosters sometimes bring their available animals out to meet people!

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit rescue group that takes in stray, abandoned, and sick animals, giving them medical and foster care until available for adoption. We offer low cost spay/neuter clinics to the public and a special program called Operation CatNIP for pet cats of low income qualified individuals and feral cats, and assist in TNR for cats.
