Meet Morrissey Smith! He is a “people dog” and his favorite thing to do is lay next to his foster family, get head rubs, snuggles, and play with his toys. He lives with another dog, and they get along well, but he will also be fine as an only dog. Because Morrissey Smith doesn’t have a great concept of personal space, he will be better off with other medium or large dogs and older children (middle school age or older, as he might accidentally knock over a small child!)
Morrissey Smith is a five year old, black Labrador mix, weighing about 55 pounds. He is already neutered and up to date on his shots.
Morrissey Smith would love a fenced yard where he can run around and play. He does fine on a leash, but loud noises (leaf blowers, etc) scare him. He is friendly towards other people and dogs when on a leash and is very content just going into the backyard to potty.
He is potty trained and will go to the back door when he wants to go out. He sleeps in a crate all night, doesn’t make a peep, and often goes to his crate himself for bedtime. He loves to play with his toys and chew on his bones.
His typical schedule consists of getting up between 7-730, going outside to potty, having breakfast, then going back outside to run around, blow off some steam, and stretch his legs. He typically sleeps next to his foster mom (who works from home) on the couch most of the late morning/afternoon. It's more of the same after his dinner (around 4-430) toys, naps, and backyard time. We sometimes go on a short walk in the evening.
Morrissey Smith is a sweet, loving dog looking for his fur-ever family for snuggles and head scratches.
