My name is Monica!

Meet Monica! She is a 3-month-old female retriever Labrador mix that weighs 27 lbs. She came into the shelter on 9/30 as a stray with her sibling Ross. Monica is a beautiful little girl with plenty of puppy energy. With all the noise at the shelter she is unsure of walking on a leash and will pancake at times. Once she is in a quiet environment all those puppy smiles and energy comes out. She is very treat driven. She knows the sit command without even asking and will take treats very gently. She loves to be petted and loved on and will come and sit in your lap. The shelter is not a place for puppies to be and she would love to be in a loving home environment where she has a secured backyard that she can run around and play in then come back inside and play with her toys and cuddle close to her human companions. Though she is kenneled with her brother as other dogs are barking at her she hasn't shown any interest in them. We do always ask if there will be another dog in the home please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. Ross & Monica support each other while in a noisy shelter but can be adopted separately. We would love to see them both adopted or rescued together if possible. Come spend some time with this lovely live little girl to see if she's a perfect fit for your family.
