Here's what the humans have to say about me:
One-eyed Eleanor, the most DARLING of doggies in all honesty, and the best personality you could ever hope for! With a face like hers, she simply MELTS hearts at first sight, falling in love with her is one thing NO ONE can resist. Eleanor is a lover of all things-people, from the attention, to the affection; she is all in; a queen of belly rubs, if I do say so! She is also a fan of all things-dog; from romping and rolling with other dogs of ALL sizes, to getting cuddled up close to anyone willing to sunbathe with her; she is the playgroup momma! At about 5 years old, and weighing in around 60 pounds, she is the ideal size for a canine companion, too! Without even mentioning the fact that she has spent most of her life in a home, learning all there is to being the perfect family girl! From house-training, crate-training, to manners, and basic commands, she's got it ALL. Personally, I can't get enough of her and her wiggly butt with her tiny tail, and I know for a fact you won't be able to, either! Sweet Eleanor just loves everything and everyone, without a single bit of doubt in her mind, and we know she deserves the very same! If you enjoy brisk walks, or visits to the dog park, and then resting on the sofa; or in the sun, Eleanor will make the perfect match! In fact, she will do splendidly in most loving homes!

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
