My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Merlin is a handsome, social boy! He is very active and loves to play! He is very lovable and LOVES to run around and play with his toys. He carries them around in his mouth and it is the CUTEST!  He is the BEST lap kitty and loves to cuddle. He is always willing to be by your side and LOVES your full attention all times. When it is bedtime, he prefers to sleep right with you!

He would LOVE a dog or cat brother or sister.  He does well with dogs! He LOVES to play and be entertained, so another kitty would be great for him. He would love to be adopted with one of his siblings Citrus or Fern.

Some of his favorite things are:
*laying on his human’s lap and watching tv
*sitting on his cat tree
*playing with his interactive ball toy
*cuddling with his humans
*laying in the sun listening to birds in front of the window
*playing with all the toys. His favorite are his mice,  he carries around.
*playing with his sister and brother
*Being the BEST cuddle boy!

Merlin’s adoption fee is $120

PETPROMISE DOES NOT HAVE A SHELTER. Our pets are housed in volunteer foster homes while awaiting adoption.

PETPROMISE HAS NO PAID STAFF. The people processing applications are volunteers with full-time jobs and families, so it may be several days before you receive a response to your application.
We do our best to ensure that all of the PetPromise pets and their new owners are the perfect match, so the adoption process includes a mandatory home visit; for that reason, adoptions outside Franklin County, Ohio and contiguous counties may not be possible.

More about this rescue

PetPromise is an Ohio 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization made up of volunteers who are dedicated to creating a world where there are no more homeless pets through education, rescue, sterilization, and adoption.

PetPromise rescues animals from high-kill animal shelters and provides foster care, medical care, and rehabilitation to once homeless, neglected, or abused dogs and cats as well as adoption services so that these pets may find loving permanent homes.

Through our City Kitty Program, PetPromise works with feral cat caregivers to control feral cat populations in central Ohio through trap/neuter/return. , PetPromise provides rabies vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery and offers the use of humane traps when needed.

The PetPromise Pet Food Pantry provides temporary assistance in the form of cat and dog food free of charge to caretakers of feral cat colonies and pet owners who are experiencing economic hardship.

The founders of PetPromise began rescuing and finding homes for stray cats and dogs in 1996. The founders along with a network of other people interested in the welfare of homeless companion animals formed PetPromise in 1999. PetPromise was officially incorporated on February 4, 2000.
