My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Phantom, a ten month old German Shepherd that was recently found as a stray. Phantom's owner never came forward and he completed his stray hold with us. He is now ready to adventure out and find his perfect home that can provide stability, structure, and training. Unsure what Phantom's past was like, we had to start training all over with this young boy. Phantom right now is a straggly teenager that has had little to no training. He was pretty brass at first, jumped all over you, didn't want to listen on his walks, and didn't know proper dog etiquette when meeting other canine friends. He went straight into learning what our rules were and that he needed to be a strong handler to give him the confidence and training he desperately needed. Phantom is doing much better now but will need someone will SHEPHERD experience to continue his journey. We are requiring Shepherd experience: recently owning a shepherd and has gone through the trials and errors of training/raising one. German Shepherds require a lot of work and...did we say training? They are extremely smart and can be the best kind of companions with work and patience. Phantom does well with other dogs and is learning proper etiquette and mannerisms from our JTAC alumni bulldog. He takes correction from her well so when his youthful puppy energy is a little too much or he wants to poke, prod, and not respect her space, she tells him and he rolls over onto his back to say "okay! my bad!". He has so much potential and we can't wait to see him thrive in his forever home. His adoption fee is $235, which includes his vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, registered microchip, and neuter.
