Willy is a 7 month old, 50ish lb, male Goldendoodle who is looking for a home that has the time and patience to work with a puppy. Willy was pulled from a shelter by an elderly woman as he was 3 days from being euthanized. She found a temporary foster and then reached out to GRRAND. He is new to his GRRAND foster home, and this is what they have to say:
"Willy is a goldendoodle but he may be just a little kangaroo as well, as bouncing around is his preferred method of moving around!
He is Super Friendly and gets along with all of our dogs especially our 9 month old puppy Raven. He is also quite interested in and gentle with our 20 year old cat. It took him all of 5 minutes to decide he likes it here. Just a happy, well adjusted pup. Willy knows some basic commands - sit, stay and leave it. He is very close to being potty trained but he prefers not to potty in the rain. (We don’t blame him one bit but we will be working to get him fully potty trained before he goes to his forever home).
He still has a lot of puppy energy but just as happy as can be to hang out by your side while you work or watch tv after he has had his daily zoomies and wrestling matches with the other dogs. Willy has come along way on crate training at bed time and settles down after a few minutes once the light has been turned off. Willy is on a schedule and goes to bed around 9:30/10 pm and wakes up around 7:30am. He is getting better with leash walking on a harness and doesn’t pull but likes to sniff a lot. His favorite things are a human to cuddle with, chewing on Nyla bones and swimming in the pool! He is an all around #bestestboy!"
Please check back later for more info, but if you would like to meet Willy, please fill out an app at GRRAND.org
