My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lali is a stunning 3.5-year-old Weimaraner mix looking for people who will appreciate her enthusiasm for life and who will invest in her success. She's an affectionate girl who wants nothing more than to build a bond with her people through training and time. Lali could use brushing up on basic manners (things like crate training, not jumping on people and walking nicely on a leash) and then is ready to jump headfirst into anything else you'd like to teach her! She's a smart, high-energy girl who needs to learn to channel that energy into positive behavior. She'll thrive in an active household with humans who will take the time to teach her how to be the best version of herself. When she's confident and comfortable in her surroundings, Lali will roll over for belly scratches, happily take treats and lounge in the sun. Lali has lived with children, other dogs and cats, and with consistent boundaries could likely do so again.

To meet Lali, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
