Meet Joey, the Sweetest Hound Around!

At 4 years old, Joey is the perfect blend of gentle and playful. This hound mix has a heart full of love and loyalty. Crate trained and house trained, he’s already got the basics down, making him an easy addition to any home. His calm, sweet demeanor shines through, and he’s always ready for a cuddle after a fun day of sniffing around and enjoying the outdoors.

While Joey is a great listener and well-behaved at home, he could use a little more socialization to build his confidence around new people and situations. With some patient guidance and positive experiences, he’ll continue to blossom into the perfect companion.

Joey is great with people and gets along well with other dogs. His calm, sweet nature makes her the perfect companion for quiet nights at home, but he also enjoys a good walk or hike in the great outdoors.

If you are looking for a new pet, Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Services shelter has a wide variety of animals to adopt; from dogs and cats, rabbits and guinea pigs, to the occasional snake and pot-bellied pigs. The shelter also has two specially designed bonding areas for people to interact and play with the animals they are considering for adoption.
