Meet Otis, an adorable black and white domestic shorthair mix born around May 7th, 2024! This friendly, laid-back kitten is full of charm and ready to bring joy to his forever home. With his playful personality and love for head scratches, Otis is sure to win over anyone’s heart. He’s easygoing, loves spending time with his brother, and you’ll often find him rolling over to show off his belly, inviting some well-deserved attention. Before arriving at our rescue, Otis had an upper respiratory infection that unfortunately affected one of his eyes, leading to its removal. Now fully healed, he hasn’t let it slow him down in the slightest! He’s just as playful and active as any other kitten, always ready for a good game with spring toys or some quality cuddle time. Otis is litter box trained and prefers quiet spaces over loud noises, but he’s happy as long as he’s near people who will interact with him. He’d do well with supervised kids and would thrive in any home where he can get regular playtime. He’s also a great fit for first-time pet owners. Otis is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped. He will be available for adoption after 10/8/2024, but we are currently accepting applications. To adopt Otis, contact us at adopt@carolinapaws.com!

More about this rescue
Carolina P.A.W.S. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization comprised of a network of compassionate Carolinians, all of whom are volunteers. We are devoted to helping abandoned and abused cats and dogs throughout the greater Charlotte area find loving homes. CPAWS does not have a facility and relies entirely on volunteer foster parents to care for an animal until we are able to find a pet their forever home. Our founding members have been collectively involved in animal rescue for over 20 years.
Carolina P.A.W.S. volunteers can be found "in the trenches," rescuing animals at high risk- those starving on the streets, languishing in shelters, and suffering in abusive situations. Each animal has a different past but our promise to them all is the same…a second chance. We provide them with medical attention, rehabilitate them physically and emotionally, and care for them in foster homes until they can be placed in loving permanent homes.
Along the way, we prepare them to become wonderful companions by taking the time to socialize them and patiently teaching them to trust. We also spay/neuter each one, provide all inoculations, and ensure that they are in perfect health before being made available for adoption.
