My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Deerhound Deena came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky. This is a nice, friendly girl who is good with people & other dogs. She is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. Her approx. birth date is 09/09/23 and she currently weighs 36#. We are guessing at her breed make up.
She has been vet. checked, spayed, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. She is heart worm negative. She did test positive for Lyme and ehrlichia, but she is asymptomatic and is on 30 days of doxycycline as a precaution.
Her adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport.

A phone interview with an adoption coordinator is required.

Meet the Pet

If approved, we will set up an appointment for you to meet the pet. If everything goes well, you will be able to take them home the same day

We do NOT accept personal checks. We accept cash, certified check, money order and debit/credit cards (with a 3% processing fee).

3 references and a vet reference is required. If you do not own your home, landlord approval is also required.

We are a volunteer operated non profit dog rescue located in Northern Indiana. We are a NO KILL rescue with a mission to spay or neuter every dog that comes through our rescue. Our mission is a direct response to counteract the overpopulation of unwanted dogs.
