My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(DOB 03/08/2024)  Meet Quinn: The Shy Guy on His Way to Shine!

Introducing Quinn, the young pup with a heart of gold and a spirit that’s ready to bloom! Recently welcomed into our program, Quinn came to us as a shy and quiet soul, but we’re thrilled to see him quickly discovering his true self. With each passing day, he’s transforming into a fun, outgoing, and playful dog, full of life and energy ... and he loves to roll over for belly rubs.

Quinn absolutely adores playing with his brother, and you can often hear his playful chatter—he's known for “talking smack” during their spirited games. Tug-of-war is a favorite pastime for Quinn; there’s nothing quite like a good tug session to bring out his joyful nature. His love for toys keeps him entertained and engaged as he explores his newfound confidence.

As a food-motivated pup, Quinn is a quick learner, making training sessions a delightful experience for everyone involved. He thrives on routine, which helps him continue to grow and adapt in his new environment. While he’s still mastering leash manners, his smaller size makes him easy to manage, and he’s showing promising progress.

Quinn would do best in a home with slightly older children who can respect his gentle nature and help him continue to come out of his shell. Having another dog around would also be a wonderful boost for his confidence, guiding him as he navigates his new world.

This sweet boy is on a journey of transformation, and with love and patience, Quinn is sure to make a delightful companion. He’s ready to find a forever family that will support him as he discovers the joy of life outside his shell. If you’re looking for a pup with a bright future and an endearing personality, Quinn could be the perfect match for you!

As part of Quinn’s $300 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Quinn, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
