Take the Pet Home
This helps Polk County Humane Society (in Missouri) - Iowa Transport with pet care costs.
This here is Champ. I am a border collie /shephard and am a very nice looking guy. My colors are gorgous and fits me to a T. I am very active and I do jump up on people but not to be mean, just happy to see ya! I am affectionate and I love to be touched and petted. Your'll need to work with me on a leash as I do pull but we'll work on that ok? I would just love to have a fenced in yard so I can play play play and run run run. I like not quiet or a to active home but moderate works with me. I reall think with my personality and good looks you might want to get to me 1st, I'll be waiting for you! Can't wait to have you in my life. We'll be companions, friends, buddy's and I'll love you with all my heart. . .The information is listed below to show you how to go about getting me.
If you’re interested in adopting me, fill out an adoption application online at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt where you will also find a link to reserve me for an appointment. Some pets are in foster homes and may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using Face Time or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from the veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! All of our pets are neutered or spayed, have vaccinations appropriate for their age, treated with flea/tick, heartworm prevention, dewormed and dogs are also microchipped #adoptdontshop.
