Description: Hi! They call me Peter and I am looking for my furever home! I am quite quiet, but when I do talk, it is to respond to my very favorite question - 'Do you want to go outside?' I love going for walks and looking at all there is to see. Sometimes it is a bird or a cat or even deer. Then the next time I get to go out, I will be on the lookout for them. I enjoy stretching my legs by going for walks and runs. I am housebroken and crate-trained. I like to chew on and fetch a braided rope and squeaky toys. Bones are fun too as long as there is something yummy in them. I sit for my supper and when you hook the leash onto my harness. I take treats nicely and I don't react to the doorbell. I like other dogs and as long as you are watching me, I am fine with an easy tempered cat. I am a people lover! Once I warm up to a new person, I will be your sidekick, couch snuggler, and foot warmer if you let me on your bed. Who wouldn't want that? This sweet boy is playful and loves affection! ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogsin areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians.

0- 25lbs - Small
26- 45lbs - Medium
46-89 - Large
90+ X-large
If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following:
Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped.
If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs once they're at least 6 months old. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months, they will need to be spayed/neutered by your veterinarian when they are between 6 to 8 months old. Proof that the spay/neuter has been completed will need to be submitted to Tailwaggers911. Once proof of the spay/neuter has been received, we will refund $100 of your adoption fee via Venmo, PayPal or have a check in the mail within 15 days.
Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home.
If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home.
If a dog is listed as ADOPTION IN PROCESS, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all.
