My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We met Waxx in May after heandamp;#39;d been left tied to a tree in the Lower Valley. Staff and volunteers love this pup, and weandamp;#39;d love for him to find his forever home. We believe Waxx may have some allergies and food sensitivities, causing him chronic ear infections and eye inflammation. He has started a new diet to see if it helps, and he will go home with a bag of his food. Waxx does well with other dogs with slow introductions and loves to run around in the park. He loves to chase squeaky toys, but prefers not to bring them back. Itandamp;#39;s all about the chase for this boy! Waxx can be shy with new people, but he happily coexists with everyone. Waxx isnandamp;#39;t super comfortable in the shelter, so weandamp;#39;d love to send this boy home with someone that loves fluffy, independent, beautiful huskies.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

With hundreds of pets at the shelter and in foster, we recommend checking our website before visiting in person.

2.
Meet the Pet

We recommend bringing the whole family, including resident dogs, to meet the pet you're interested in adopting to ensure it's a good match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoption team will review the adoption contract with you. Adoption fees are $30 for dogs and $5 for cats unless during a special promo.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis and must be made in person. As a high-intake shelter, most of the pets that come to us are strays, meaning we have limited background history on the pet, such as health, behavioral or living history. All adoptions include the animal's spay/neuter procedure, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and city license. All adoptions include a 7 day free trial with our training partner, GoodPup to help ease the transition!
