Message for details:
This pet is available for adoption in a foster home. To adopt them, please email us at SDCadoptions@sdhumane.org and provide a good callback number.

How this pet arrived:
Delilah was transferred in from another animal welfare organization on September 22, 2024

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Delilah, the queen of veggies and connoisseur of carrot tops! This fearless explorer hops through life with the grace of a woodland ninja, investigating every nook and cranny of her kingdom. She's a social butterfly who loves to mingle, but please don't cramp her style by picking her up-this diva prefers to keep all four furry feet on the ground. Delilah is a domestic rabbit and she should be kept indoors. Delilah will need a large enclosure with free roaming time (bigger is always better) and she tends to get a bit frustrated if she doesn't have enough space. Delilah would love a family who will interact with her daily to keep her healthy and social! When rabbits get the space and enrichment they need, they often form deep bonds with their humans! Ready to serve this sassy and sophisticated lady? Reach out to the email address listed above!

Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2):
Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV2) is a highly contagious disease affecting rabbits. Due to its presence in San Diego County, all rabbits will receive a mandatory RHDV2 vaccine before adoption. Guests will be charged $14 for this vaccine upon adoption.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
