My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.

My favorite pastime is being visually admired! Pet me with your eyes!

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!

A volunteer writes: Tigger loves to cuddle with his favorite people, he plays gently, will run after moths and bottle caps, and is curious about other cats. I love reading Tigger's notes but, as it sometimes happens, they're a little different than the cat I see in front of me. Tigger has shown lots of progress with us - meowing when spoken to, coming forward for pets and even leaning against visitors and purring in appreciation, but the shelter can be a lot. For all that's done to make the Care Center warm and welcoming, I imagine it can seem a bit too big when you don't understand everything that's going on. Tigger was brought to us because of his person's housing issues and adjusting to shelter life has been slow and steady. He's a really special guy and we're all hopeful that someone will see the wonderful kitty inside and give him a chance.
