My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mara is half Akita half husky. We got her from a rescue in Riverside, CA when she was about 2 years old. We don't know for sure, but we believe her birthday is sometime in March. She's about 4 1/2 years old now. She is a very loving and cuddly dog who loves being around people, great with kids and loves to snuggle close to her people. She's a very calm and mild energy dog and loves to go for walks in the morning and evening and loves to stick her head out the window on car rides.

She does have a very strong prey drive and can not be around other animals and is kept on leash at all times while out in public. She has attacked and killed smaller animals and is the reason why we have to put her up for adoption.

Despite her prey drive, she's an absolutely wonderful dog and is very soft, fluffy, gentle and loyal. Her new home has to have no other pets. Preferrably, she has some room to run around and play. Becuase of her history, an experienced dog owner is recommended.
