Say hello to Yoda! Yoda came to us with a sad story, as part of a large hoarding case. His owner was moving and wanted all the dogs on the property euthanized. Concho Animal Advocates reached out to local rescues for help, and Chi Town agreed to take in 11 Chihuahua mixes, including Yoda. Yoda is approximately four-years-old and weighs around eight pounds. He is shy at first, but if you get down on his level and go slow, he will allow you to pick him up and pet him. Yoda has a curious nature and enjoys sniffing and exploring. He has a mostly mellow energy level overall. Yoda does well with the other dogs he was brought in with and could potentially do well with your dog(s) at home too. Yoda has a super cool white and brindle coat, and an adorable little peekaboo tongue that sticks out when he's relaxed, thanks to a slight overbite. Come meet Yoda for adoption at Chi Town Rescue! Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.
