This handsome boy is Mickey, a 3 year old orange tabby that is ready to be apart of your family! Mickey was transferred in from a different shelter, so we don't know what his previous home life was like, sadly. Mickey is a sweet and laid back boy, he loves pets and a good snuggle, but he's not up in your face about it. He has no issues being picked up, as long as you don't rush at him, and enjoys a good hug every now and again. Mickey has done fine with the other cats in his room, he doesn't seem super interested in them, so he would be fine in a home with other cats (as long as you did a slow and proper introduction), or he would be okay being the only cat! He's pretty versatile! Mickey would love a home with lots of cat beds for him take a nap in, and windows for him to soak up some sun and just look out at! Mickey does have a bit of a sensitive stomach, so he is on some special food that he may need to be on for life. This sweet boy is litter box trained, current on his vaccines, FIV/FELV tested negative, neutered and microchipped so he's ready to come on home with you today! Come meet this handsome boy at the Waggin' Tails Adoption Center in Benbrook, open every day from 12-6 pm! Please give us a call at 817-249-3647 if you have any questions!

More about this shelter
Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
