My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

* 4 Little Paws is helping a Texas Animal Shelter by featuring a few wonderful dogs patiently waiting to find forever homes!

Meet Pumpkin!

You can’t deny that this puppy is the prettiest pumpkin in the patch! Eyes sparkling with joy, a friendly and inviting smile, and soft, cream-colored fur are just the beginning of what makes it impossible to resist falling in love with this cutie! Her perfectly blended personality of playful energy and mellow charm makes her the ultimate companion! She is just as happy to lounge around and cuddle as she is bouncing around playing.

Pumpkin radiates pure joy in everything she does with her infectiously happy and loving nature. You can feel the unconditional love and affection as she follows you around. She has a pep in her step, the biggest and sweetest smile, and eyes glistening with excitement as she trots along enjoying your company! This girl is a professional at snuggling and embracing lazy moments! She provides a calming presence as she curls up next to you on the couch or naps at your feet while you work on the computer.

When she’s caught up on her beauty sleep and done snoozing while you work, she’s ready for playtime and adventures! She’s such a great puppy with the best personality that she remains laid back and chill while playing and seeking out adventures. There’s no wild shenanigans or overwhelming hyper energy with this girl, just gentle and low-energy play!

She’s still learning about collars and leashes, but the fun of sniffing and investigating the wonders of the world helps her forget about that weird thing attached to her. Also, potty training is a work in progress, but she’s starting to get the hang of it. She’s a smart girl who’s eager to learn, giving her a ton of potential to learn tricks and all the good manners!

Pumpkin is a Yellow Labrador Retriever mix that weighs 24 pounds and is 4-5 months old! She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm-negative, and up to date on all vaccines including monthly heartworm prevention!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
