Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Niles is a happy, playful little fellow who is simply a joy to be around! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet and loves everyone he meets. This little darling came to us recently from a central North Carolina shelter. We have no knowledge of his background. He was microchipped, but the chip had never been registered. It took no time for Niles to steal our hearts! He charms everyone he meets. Fully grown at just under 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Niles is in good health, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. We seek a home for Niles with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time with him. Consistent socialization is incredibly important to adopted animals as they transition to new homes. A home without small children or larger pets and with a fenced, secure yard also sought.
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Niles as well as our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting for you and your family to meet Niles at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
