Bowsers Story: This sweet puppy found himself in the Fulton county shelter way to young and vulnerable. While at the shelter Bowser developed an upper respiratory infection which is commonly spread in shelters. He needed immediate medical help and Hero Dog Rescue had him transferred to a vet. After a few days with the vet, some antibiotics and TLC he began feeling like a puppy should. He is now ready to find his forever home with a family who has the patience to train a young pup. Bowser isn’t a fan of being left alone and would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time. Here are a few things you should know about this sweet boy.
- Curious puppy who wants to always be by your side
- The most adorable ears that curl up on his head
- House trained with frequent outings
- Medium to lower energy and loves to play
- Enjoys playing outdoors, chasing leaves, and chomping on sticks
- Can be mouthy particularly with hands, but is still teething so this will improve
- Has shown some herding traits
- Food motivated and already knows how to sit on command
- Wants to be with his person all the time, he will be your loyal shadow
- Neutered, microchipped and finishing his puppy vaccinations
- Currently 30lbs and will be a medium sized dog
- Vocal communicator, but not a barker
- Loves other dogs and would prefer a home with a buddy to play with
- Skilled in the head tilt move and puppy dog eyes and will melt your heart
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
