Bowsers Story: This sweet puppy found himself in the Fulton county shelter way to young and vulnerable. While at the shelter Bowser developed an upper respiratory infection which is commonly spread in shelters. He needed immediate medical help and Hero Dog Rescue had him transferred to a vet. After some time with the vet, some antibiotics and TLC he began feeling like a puppy should. He is ready to find his forever home with a family who is ready for young pup to fill their lives.
Bowser isn’t a fan of being left alone for long periods, although he is getting better every day, we think he would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Because he spent some time isolated at the vet when he had and respiratory infection, he is uncomfortable with a crate, but we are working on it. We think he really needs another dog in the house to help build his confidence, show him the ropes and be his playmate. Bowser isn’t a fan of getting in the car, but once he is inside, he settles in for the ride. He is the type of dog that would be content just hanging at the house all the time getting your attention between naps. He does communicate when he needs something through whining and we have never heard him bark inside the house, only outside when he sees something to alert us about. Bowser is a fabulous dog that will make a wonderful companion, if you would like to learn more or meet him, please apply at Herorescue.org.
Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.
Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.
Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.
Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
