This male ginger has a special place in our hearts because he was abandoned by his mom the day he was born at the Grapetree Bay Resort in St Croix US Virgin Islands. He was quickly scooped up when a resort employee heard his cries and handed over to us in a grocery bag. He was smaller than the syringe used to feed him, but has grown into a hardy, fun, well-adapted kitten ready for his life-time family. This 12-week old is harness trained and likes to go on hikes, but truth be told, he likes to see the sights draped over your shoulder. He went to an event full of eager kids ready to abscond with him and loved the attention. He’s tender and playful with younger kittens, but respectful of older felines. Give Opie some tender kisses on his tummy, let him pat you gently on your face or kiss you on the lips, and then cuddle while you watch tv. When you’re ready for some action, he’ll follow you and want to be part of whatever you’re doing. Once he’s chosen his favorite toys, he can entertain himself too.
Opie is too good with others to be an only kitty or to be by himself in a quiet environment, so if you’ve got kids, other pets, and/or an active lifestyle, he is probably the kitty for you.
