For Adopt a Pet and the PEDIGREE® brand, October is all about finding homes for dogs in shelters. Adopt this month for a PEDIGREE® Wet Food Pouch and a chance to win a Homecoming-style photo shoot and shelter donation.
Hey friends, my name is Pepe! I'm a young, expressive, playful, well-mannered, and outgoing Medium Mixed Breed puppy that would love to put a smile on your face everyday!! I was brought to the Humane Society as my previous owner just didn't have enough time for a puppy right now- but that's okay, I know I'll find my furrever family real soon. I love all humans- big, small, young, old! I can get a little excited and get jumpy when I first meet you, but just tell me "down" in a gentle tone and I'll put my listening ears on. I will say, I absolutely love getting to play with other dogs and I think it'd be so cool to have a canine brother or sister or both in my new home so we can get into mischief.. I mean, play and snuggle together. Oh, car rides.. super fun, especially if the destination is to get a pup cup or go out on a little hike. My favorite game to play is catch and tug-of-war! I'm so well-behaved as I've already gone through some training, but obviously will need some reminders and refreshers. I've started potty training, leash training, and crate training! I'm already neutered, current on my puppy vaccinations, and microchipped. I'll be waiting to meet you at the Benbrook Waggin' Tails Adoption Center; open daily from 12-6 p.m. If you have any questions about me or the adoption process, call my hoomans at 817-249-3647!

More about this shelter
Our History
The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) was founded in 1905 and is the oldest animal welfare organization in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. While the organization’s name has evolved from the Fort Worth Humane Society in 1905, to the Tarrant County Humane Society in 1910, to the Humane Society of North Texas in 1982, its focus has always been on caring for animals in need. HSNT provides services such as pet adoptions, low-cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations, returning lost pets to their owners, cruelty investigations and humane euthanasia. HSNT operates four pet adoption centers and a quarantine facility in Tarrant County, as well as an equine and livestock ranch located in Johnson County.
