Meet Tucana, a grey DSH female kitten with white paws and a black nose spot. She is about 2 months old as of September.
Tucana is a playful kitten full of life and energy. She's a little bundle of joy who loves nothing more than chasing after her own tail, pouncing on unsuspecting toys, and exploring every nook and cranny of her surroundings. Tucana is a social butterfly, always eager to make new friends with both humans and fellow felines. Despite her youthful spirit, she also appreciates the quieter moments in life, often found purring contentedly during a gentle petting session. Tucana's curious nature and affectionate demeanor make her the perfect companion for any household. Adopt Tucana and bring a spark of joy into your life. ? Tucana is living with her sibling Dorado. They can be adopted together or separately if there is a cat already in the home. Check out Dorado's profile, too.
Please note: This cat must be adopted with another cat/kitten or must have a resident/current cat in the home.
She is looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until she is old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, she will be living with you and you will be responsible for her (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until she is fixed. That usually happens around 6 months depending on what the vet says.
Tucana is up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. She is currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make her a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

2. An adoption counselor will call or email you within 48 hours to review your application.
If you would like to check the status of your application after 24 hours, you can call or email animals@chicagopetrescue.org
3. The adoption counselor will call your reference, landlord/condo association, and veterinarian (if applicable).
4. An adoption counselor will schedule a time for you, your family and any other pets to meet the pet(s) you've applied for.
5. A home visit is also necessary. If possible, the entire household should be present for the visit.
6. To make the adoption official, a signed adoption contract and an adoption fee will be collected before the animal is placed in your home. If an animal has not yet been spayed or neutered, there is an additional $50 spay/neuter deposit. At time of adoption, adopters should have a collar, leash and pet ID tag. The adoption fee and spay/neuter deposit are payable by cash or debit/credit card only.
All previous medical records and adoption policy will be turned over to the new adopter.
