Meet Dorado, a black DSH male kitten about 2 months old as of September.
Meet Dorado, a playful kitten with a zest for life. His antics are sure to make you laugh and his purrs are guaranteed to melt your heart. Dorado loves to explore and is always up for a game of chase. He Loves playing with his sister Tucana, so check put her profile too. When he's not playing, Dorado enjoys quiet moments of relaxation. He's the perfect companion for anyone seeking a balance of fun and tranquility.
Dorado is living with his sibling Tucana. They can be adopted together or separately if there is a cat already in the home. Check out Tucana's profile, too.
Please note: This cat must be adopted with another cat/kitten or must have a resident/current cat in the home.
He is looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until he is old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, he will be living with you and you will be responsible for him (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until he is fixed. That usually happens around 6 months depending on what the vet says.
Dorado is up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. He is currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make him a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

If you would like to check the status of your application after 24 hours, you can call or email animals@chicagopetrescue.org
3. The adoption counselor will call your reference, landlord/condo association, and veterinarian (if applicable).
4. An adoption counselor will schedule a time for you, your family and any other pets to meet the pet(s) you've applied for.
5. A home visit is also necessary. If possible, the entire household should be present for the visit.
6. To make the adoption official, a signed adoption contract and an adoption fee will be collected before the animal is placed in your home. If an animal has not yet been spayed or neutered, there is an additional $50 spay/neuter deposit. At time of adoption, adopters should have a collar, leash and pet ID tag. The adoption fee and spay/neuter deposit are payable by cash or debit/credit card only.
All previous medical records and adoption policy will be turned over to the new adopter.
