Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Slim Jim is a playful, attentive, and curious pup who's sure to steal your heart with his goofy antics and boundless energy. He's got a lot of love to give and is always up for an adventure, whether it's a stroll through the neighborhood or a thrilling game of fetch (he's still perfecting his playtime manners, but he's getting there!).
When it comes to walks, Slim Jim is a good walker with a little bit of a slow start. Once he settles into his pace, though, he's a steady companion. He's a true sniff master, always eager to explore his surroundings with his nose to the ground, and he's not in any rush to miss a single scent!
Slim Jim might be a bit timid at first, but with some patience and reassurance, he's quick to warm up to new faces and environments. He's brave and confident in the car, though he does prefer to be picked up to get in - once he's there, he rides like a champ, calm and content during the journey.
This sweet boy is treat and toy motivated, so training and positive reinforcement are right up his alley. He's seemingly house trained and had no accidents during a brief home stay, proving that he's a fast learner and a well-mannered pup in the making.
Slim Jim has never shown any aggression towards small children and has even been polite around a toddler; however, he's listed as No Small Children because the chaos that naturally comes with small children may overwhelm Slim Jim. He is also occasionally mouthy with play, so we try to be overly cautious!
If you're looking for a loving companion who's a bit on the shy side but full of personality, Slim Jim might just be the perfect fit for your family! With his playful spirit, loving nature, and willingness to learn, he's ready to join a home where he can feel safe, loved, and a little bit spoiled with treats and toys.
To meet Slim Jim, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
