My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm a little sweetie pie that's a real hoot to have around! I'm a little bit shy just at first, but put out a tunnel and turn on an electronic spinning butterfly toy, and I can't resist coming to run fast and play! You'll be surprised how fast these little legs can run after a toy, and I'll have you in stitches! I'm crazy for all the little toys in the floor and I love having a cardboard scratcher. I enjoy having kitty company to help me feel more brave and confident, and I would love to have a furry friend to snuggle with at home! If I'm alone, a soft stuffed toy would be a good snuggle buddy. I will love having soft blankets on the furniture to snuggle with you while you give me lots of reassuring pets. I love hearing you talk to me too! I might want to run to play with you as you try to pick me up at first, but I will learn to trust you very quickly. I love when you cuddle and snuggle with me to show me you love me and I'm safe there with you, and I will adore you! Encourage me to play with my toys and with you and our wand toys to help build my confidence by chasing and catching my toy and having fun with you!

More about this shelter

The Colony Animal Services strives to protect andTCAS LOGO-UPDATED nurture The City of The Colony’s lost, homeless, abused, injured, and sick pets. We seek to provide animals the opportunity to be reclaimed, adopted, rehabilitated, or rescued. It is the mission for the Animal Service Officers and volunteers to pursue a positive synergy and to serve the citizens and pets of The Colony.

Animal Services is committed to saving each and every animal that comes into our care. Over the last few years, we have improved our live release rate to 97%. We hold our standards high at keeping this percentage, and in doing so, we ask our rescue partners and citizens to help us pursue finding our animals forever homes.

Every year, we get over a hundred injured and sick animals that need our help. In order for us to help them, we use our donated medical fund to give them the proper care and treatment they need. The only way for us to provide this needed medical care is through our generous financial donors. Every penny donated is sent to our medical fund. Please help us continue this much needed medical care for our animals by donating. Even if you cannot donate, it is a huge help to share posts on social media.
