LEALAH is a beautiful 1.5 year old medium hair, white and black cat with adorable markings. She takes a little while to warm up and feel brave in her safe room but once she adjusts, she is a sweet and fun girl. Lealah plays with enthusiasm and really likes playing with interactive toys with her foster mom and dad. She is a good conversationalist and will talk to you about her day. Lealah enjoys being gently petted but does not like to be picked up (many cats do not like that). She has lots of energy and loves to show her silly side, chasing around her favorite little fabric ball and rolling around. She loves companionship and is very inquisitive, wanting to be a part of any activity that is happening in the home. Once Lealah is tuckered out from playing, she likes to sit or lay by her foster and loves head scratches. She really loves using (and laying on) the cardboard scratchers on the floor. Lealah is a "bookish" cat, enjoying naps in the empty spaces of her foster's built-in bookshelves. She also enjoys sitting and napping by the window and soaking up the sunshine and watching the activity.
Lealah was previously in a home with cats but we don’t know if she liked that situation or not. She has not been around cats in her foster home. She has never been around dogs so a home without dogs is required. Since Lealah is shy at first, a home without children is her preference. Her adopter should be a patient person who will help Lealah adjust to her new home.
Lealah is spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about beautiful Lealah.

Initial contact is made by leaving a message on the Second Chance answering machine - expect a return call within 24 hrs. Potential adopters will be screened, and possibly a home visit done before a referral is made to the foster home where the animal is currently housed. They can expect to fill out a written application, sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee at time of pick up. Adopters must be at least 20 yr old. If renting, the landlord's consent in writing is required or a copy of the lease brought with you at time of adoption. Must have familiarity with local animal ordinances so you know how many cats/dogs you are permitted - this will vary from city to city. Potential adopters must understand that their application can be denied.
