Background: Russet was found on a porch to a home he didn't belong.

Personality: Russet is an all-around wonderful dog. He is housetrained, knows sit, and is gentle. He absolutely loves to be around people. He is a huge love bug! He also loves to play fetch and will do a little dance when he brings the ball back because he's so excited. He loves butt scratches and will melt in your arms for pets. He is just a great boy!

Ideal Home: He would fit into a variety of homes. He would be a great family dog but we're sure he'll be happy anywhere as long as he gets love and attention. He has not been dog tested yet but does not appreciate when dogs try and get in his face through the kennels. We always recommend a meet and greet if you have another pet in the home.

Final Thoughts: You can't go wrong with this sweet dog. He's a happy-go-lucky, loyal dog that would love to have a lifelong companion.

Adoption Applicants are reviewed, once passed, there is a $85-$95 adoption fee. Once the fee has been collected, the animal is transferred to The Animal Hospital of Cornelius for a final wellness check and spay/neuter if applicable.
