This is Scooter,
A young homeless man reached out, explaining that he had been living in his car with a three-month-old puppy—a little lab mix that he picked up from someone else at a gas station about a week ago and now he's realizing that he can't take care of him. I asked, what's the puppy's name? and to my surprise he said,
he doesn't have one.
I asked what are you feeding him? He said, Petco gave him 1 can today
I felt the puppy desperately needed help.
He was even contemplating taking the puppy to the Humane Society, a decision that saddened me because this poor baby has already been displaced twice maybe more who knows, so taking him to a busy shelter with lots of barking dogs would have surely terrified him.
Concerned for the well-being of the puppy I knew I had to do something to help.
Thank God for my fearless foster!
Even though she's already fostering one of our dogs when I told her about this situation today, she didn't hesitate for a minute to go get the puppy and give him a temporary safe home
Thank you
