Xena wandered onto our porch in early March, completely emaciated and showing signs of recently given birth. We took her into the vet and she was not chipped, and we were never able to locate the owner or her puppies.
We took her in immediately and have continued to nurse her back to health, she has since gained about 30 pounds, been spayed, and up to date on her shots.
She has gotten along well with our other two dogs a pitbull and mini poodle. She has not been around young children but does just fine with adolescents. She is decent on a leash and great in public settings. She can be very timid in new settings but adjusts just fine over time with reassurance.
According to the vet she is approximately 2-3 years old. She is high energy and would need daily walks or a yard to play in. She is very affectionate. We have cared for her as long as we can but due to needing to relocate and having two dogs already we cannot continue to care for her so we are looking for her forever home!
