Mimi is a sweet cat whose owner was unable to keep her and wanted to make sure she found a new forever home. While Mimi may not always want to snuggle, she loves people and shows her affection by rubbing up against your legs and making sure she is in the same room as you. This cutie would do best in a quiet home and with a new owner who understands that Mimi wants attention but on her own terms, which may mean that sometimes she wants to be pet and sometimes she doesn't (and will let you know!). She is not fond of other cats, so she should be the only cat. If you are looking for a lone queen cat who will keep you company, please take Mimi home!

1.
Submit Application

Download our questionnaire form and email or fax it (filled out, dated and signed). Or complete one in-person during our weekly events.

2.
Interview

One of our volunteers will contact you in 24-48 hours to discuss your questionnaire and answer any questions you might have.

3.
Approve Application

After your initial conversation, our volunteer will talk with your references and contact you for any clarification or further discussion.

4.
Meet the Pet

Typically meet and greets take place during our weekly adoption events but sometimes they can happen in a foster home or at a special event.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

Initial all points and sign on our 1 page contract.

6.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees range from $75-150, depending on the cat.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Pose with your new family member for a "Happy Tails" photo before bringing them home.

Our adoption process includes a short questionnaire, a couple of phone or in-person conversations with you and your references. Adoption fees range from $75-150
All our cats and kittens are fully vetted prior to being posted for adoption, including spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, tested for FIV/FeLV/HW, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for parasites.

Trenton Cats Rescue is an all volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit charity dedicated to pursuing humane choices for cats living in Trenton, NJ since 2011.
We are primarily involved in the rescue of homeless and needy cats and kittens from Trenton, NJ. We pull from Trenton Animal control, perform trap-neuter-return of community cats and also help rescue of kittens and friendly strays. We also help residents with subsidized spay neuter for companion cats living in Trenton.
