My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pete/Toast was found in the Sam's club parking lot by a customer. He was unable to eat/drink on his own, emaciated, and injured. Only 1/2 of Pete's face works, but that doesn't stop him! He was bitten in the face causing damage to his nerves, which is irreparable. He has no limitations.

Pete is sterilized, combo tested negative, core vaccinated, rabies vaccinated, flea free and ready to find his home.

Go meet their pets

PAWER hosts adoption events each month! They are typically at our building in Trenton, but we have partnered with senior citizen homes, pet stores, apple orchards, and other businesses across downriver. We set up meet and greets for anybody interested, so you do not have to wait until one of our adoption events.

More about this rescue

PAWER, Providing Animals With Emergency Resources, is a 501c3 that is based in Trenton. We provide a pet food bank each month, to help families going through hard times. We specialize in neonatal and injured cats, along with other small animals. At times, we have dogs and exotic animals as well. We partner with many local Animal Control Offices, to help animals they come across, that may not do well at local shelters, due to the experience we have. We love helping and giving back to the community, and we were able to adopt over 150 animals into their forever homes during 2023.
