My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!

Sweetie accepts attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to an adult-only home with experienced cat parents.

With a slow and patient approach, I warm up and will show you what a sweet older lady I am.

A volunteer writes: Sweetie is making the most of things here at the Care Center. Her and her buddy Sophie (210631) were brought to us when their person passed away, so we don't know too much about their history prior. Anecdotally, however, Sweetie seems like a quintessential window cat who could keep some semblance of tabs on neighborhood squirrels. An excellent candidate because she's social and interested, though she takes a lot of naps and is prone to distraction. Their condo gives them the opportunity to look out at the Care Center and I love to watch the brightness dance across Sweetie's face as she puffs her cheeks watching with great interest as someone walks by. Then she'll adorably look to me as if she's asking what's next. If I'm not quick enough, she'll think of an activity for us to do herself. A favorite seems to be tucking herself perfectly into her box as she cuddled her face into my hands. Sweetie has made a lot of progress with us at the Care Center and now she's looking for a fresh start. We hope it'll be with you.
