Mel is a beautiful girl who is with our partner rescue in Louisiana. Mel can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters.

Mel is a big, sweet, gentle girl who loves attention. She is great with other dogs and she is also good with kids (over 5 please). Mel was selected to visit a nearby nursing home one day and she was an absolute star! She loves making new friends and was so easy going. Maybe Mel would be a candidate for a therapy dog?

Mel is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. She is being treated for heartworm and can come to NJ in October, after treatment. Her adoption fee is $450.

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
