My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Jelly Bean, the shy yet lovable kitty with a heart full of affection just waiting to be shared! At just 6 months old, I'm still learning to navigate the world after coming to foster care from the streets. I've been to several events with my brother Charmy, watching all the other kitties go off to their new homes while I stay behind. I like my foster home, but I can't help but wonder where my forever home is.

I thrive in a quiet environment and enjoy the company of a nice kitty friend or two, which makes me a perfect companion for a calm home. Once I trust you, I transform into a purr machine, filling the air with soothing sounds of contentment. I love to spend my time lounging in the catio or soaking up the sun by the window, always curious about the world outside. Food is a big motivator for me, especially when it comes to my favorite churu or other squeeze-up treats!

With my big, beautiful golden eyes and a waterfall of whiskers, I'm not only super cute but also playful and curious. I may take a little extra time to warm up, which is why my adoption fee is $200 (a patience discount!). If you have the patience to earn my trust, you'll be rewarded with endless love and companionship from this fluffy little treasure!

I've been neutered, microchipped, combo tested for FIV and FeLV, received my RCP series of vaccinations, and my rabies vaccine. I'm also flea treated and dewormed.

More about this rescue

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we are a dedicated team of passionate volunteers united by our love for cats. As a no-kill rescue group, we provide a safe haven for both kittens and adult cats, ensuring they thrive in loving foster homes instead of cages. Our mission is to shower every feline in our care with compassion while offering essential services such as spaying, neutering, vaccinating, microchipping, and conducting FIV/FeLV combo tests.

We believe that every cat, whether a playful kitten or a wise old soul, deserves a second chance at happiness. In addition to caring for our adoptable cats, we support our community by assisting with the needs of feral and community cats whenever we can, helping to provide care and resources for local colonies.

From the most affectionate to the shyest, Oakbrook Cat Rescue is devoted to finding each of them a forever home filled with love. Together, we strive to make a difference—one paw at a time.
