My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Handsomest Echo aka Dog The Bounty Hunter aka D.O.G.G - the dog of many names, can’t believe he hasn’t found a foster home!

He’s absolutely AMAZING with people!

He’s working on upping his obedience level and learning the words “leave it” and “out”.

He’s cuddly, he’s handsome, he’ll be the light of your life!

He’s a doll of a fella, fairly easy in Malinois terms- zero human reactivity, fine to go out in public settings… but he’s not like THE easiest of dogs, so here’s the scoop:

ABSOLUTELY NO SMALL ANIMALS OR LIVESTOCK. He *will* go after them. His prey drive is high.

He is the MASTER of escaping. Mostly just because he wants to be with YOU!

What does that mean? He can open doors, he will escape regular or wire crates, he will climb fences if you’re not watching him.

If you leave him unattended in a regular fenced in yard, he will take himself out and about for a day on the town. If your neighbors have small animals and he gets into their yard, it will not be a great outcome.

If you need to leave him home alone, it needs to be in either an impact crate or in a WELDED WIRE OUTDOOR KENNEL that has a roof AND a cement floor. Chainlink will *not work*.

I do realize this sounds daunting, but #1- we believe in full transparency- we do not want to set you or him up for failure, #2- if you’re able to just take him with you, he’s GREAT in the car and loves adventures!

You’re not going to find a more people-pleasing dog. He wants to make you happy, he wants to go for long hikes and swims, he loves to chill on the couch and watch movies with his people and as you can see from his photos, he LOVES massages and affection.

Baths are soooooo totally ok with him, he’ll literally soak it up.

Did I remember to mention he's been fine with dogs his size and ive caught him playing with some of the lady dogs? 😍 (Going to say NO to dog parks. Too many variables.)

Echo may be one of the smartest dogs I’ve come across. Eerily smart. He’s going to keep you on your toes but laughing hysterically along the way.

He’ll be your best friend, your comfort buddy, your body double, your ride or die. He could easily become a trainers demo-dog.

Do you have what it takes to give this boy the foster home he deserves? Shoot us a message or fill out an app on our website! You WONT be disappointed!

More about this rescue

We are long-time animal lovers working hard to reduce the number of euthanized dogs in shelters. Our ultimate goal is to house and employ veterans, teach them how to prepare a dog for adoption and should they wish, reach them to run a successful rescue so they may take our model and open one anywhere there’s a need of Veterans and K9’s alike!
