My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We are SO HAPPY to announce that handsome embankment Mal TAHOE is ready for adoption!!!!

Here’s a little of what his foster had to say about him!

“Tahoe’s ready to start looking for his forever home. I would totally keep him if I didn’t already have 4. He’s such a love. Amazing in the house, non-destructive (although I always crate him when I leave just in case), potty trained, clean and quiet in the crate, doesn’t pull on walks, can walk past other dogs with no issues (will get nervous and try to flee if the other dogs tries to approach so we always create space), has been great with female dogs but does take many slow iterations to get comfortable (he mostly avoids our males), no food or toy aggression, absolutely loves to train, walk, hike, run next to a bike, and camp. We took him to the lake and he’s not much or a swimmer but he does* enjoy the shallow end. He’s been amazing with our 10 month old son and doesn’t seem nervous about him at all. He’s also very spatially aware and never knocks him over. We never let our son crawl on him, pull on him, etc. so I’m not sure how he would do with an out-of-control child. Overall he’s an amazing dog that will thrive with someone that’s willing to give him the time to acclimate.”

His amazing foster Bailey has done an AWESOME job getting Tahoe trained and socialized 🥰🥰🥰🥰 if you think you would like to meet Tahoe, please fill out an application on our website www.highsierralifeline.org

More about this rescue

We are long-time animal lovers working hard to reduce the number of euthanized dogs in shelters. Our ultimate goal is to house and employ veterans, teach them how to prepare a dog for adoption and should they wish, reach them to run a successful rescue so they may take our model and open one anywhere there’s a need of Veterans and K9’s alike!
