My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Here's what you need to know about me:

Hi there, I'm Mazie Mae! I've been told I'm spunky, sweet, and a bit of a wildcard - which I take as a compliment!
It's been quite a journey for me at the shelter. Over the past month, I've been working on building trust with humans. I used to be pretty scared of hands. But guess what? I'm proud to say I've made great progress and now enjoy being petted... on my terms, of course! I'm not afraid to let you know when I've had enough - I believe in clear communication.
If you're dreaming of a cat who'll sit on your lap and purr 24/7, sorry to disappoint, but that's not me. I'm more of a "fascinating feline companion" than a "furry snuggle buddy." I'm curious, playful, and always up for adventure. It will take time to build a relationship with me, but I am well worth the wait.
Oh, and let me tell you about my favorite thing: towel forts! There's nothing quite like exploring and playing under a towel draped over someone's legs. It's my personal slice of paradise.
The shelter staff say I'm one of their favorites (don't tell the other cats!). They've been amazed by how far I've come, and I have to say, I'm pretty proud of myself too.
So, if you're looking for a unique, spirited companion who'll keep you on your toes and bring lots of joy to your life, look no further. I may not be the cuddliest cat around, but I promise our relationship will be full of fun, growth, and rewarding moments. What do you say? Want to be part of my next big adventure?

I need a slow introduction to cats. I can share my space, but I'll need some time to adjust.

I'd do best in a home without dogs. I just don't get along with them.

I need an adult-only home. Living in a home with kids just isn't for me, I'm more comfortable with adults.
