My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Paige is an estimated 3-year-old, 65 lb female Boxer Pitbull mix who was a stray intake at the Lancaster shelter in Los Angeles County. She was kenneled with another dog where she was very shut down and nervous. We pulled her from the euthanasia list and are getting to know her in foster care.

Foster Update: Paige is a sweet dog with plenty of enthusiasm for life! She can be an only dog or part of a multiple dog household with proper introduction and structure -- she is not a fan of "puppy energy" in her space. She is a super sweet dog whois calm 90% of the time and very excited to see you the other 10%. She loves spending time with her people and does very well at dog friendly establishments like cafes and breweries! She loves to go on adventures with you and does great in the car. Paige would do best with someone who is able to spend lots of time with her at home (work from home is great) or take her places with them -- she does have separation anxiety and does not like to be left alone. Paige has excellent leash manners and does very well on walks. She  will need a secure yard and not to be out alone in it. She has a calm disposition and has done fine with the a dog-savvy resident cat. She has done great with the people in her foster home, including a dog-savvy pre-teen. She is potty trained and is using a large plastic travel crate that she feels secure in as it is only open in the front. If you are looking for an adventure dog who likes to chill when you are home, Paige is your gal!
