My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi sweeties! My name is Buttercup and I am an adorable Chihuahua girl. I arrived at the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society with a previous injury. The staff doesn't know what happened but they think I had an injury to my tail and it had to be removed after seeing stitches on my now docked tail. My friends here also noticed that when it was time to use the restroom I have some trouble with that. Although my friends here don't know if I'll get any better, they do know I still have the best personality and have a lot of love to give despite of it. I'm going to need a very special someone with a big heart and patience to help with my potty health! If you're that special someone come meet the one and only Buttercup!

More about this shelter

The San Gabriel Valley Humane Society (SGVHS) was founded by Fannie Thompson Kessler in 1924.

For almost 100 years, the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society has provided a variety of services to the local communities. Currently we serve the cities of San Gabriel, Temple City and Duarte.

We provide food, shelter and medical care to hundreds of dogs and cats who are stray and homeless, or have been rescued from abusive conditions or relinquished by their owners.

Please consider giving one of our animals a forever home. If you’re looking to adopt a life-long furry companion, we invite you to visit our Shelter!
