My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Thomas Boots, or, "Bootsie". I am an extremely polite, super playful, and sometimes shy, kind kitty soul. My easy going nature keeps me endeared to anyone who crosses my path. I love to chat with humans, and have even been learning how to whisper in the early mornings! I consider myself a laid back type of gent, and am equally content with sweet solitude. I positively THRIVE on playtime, with both humans and felines. I love a good game of tug-o-war with any and all types of wand toys. My foster mamas are helping me feel at ease with human snuggles, pets on my head, and arm cradles, but, You Guessed It: I especially love snuggling with other cats.

I have been around dogs, and have done quite well, however, nothing would make me happier than a new kitty sibling, and best friend.

More about this rescue

We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization dedicated to saving local at-risk shelter pets from the San Jose Animal Care Center. Our goal is to give adoptable animals a chance to shine in a casual and relaxed environment, and expand opportunity for adoptions, thereby reducing the euthanasia rate in Silicon Valley. The Dancing Cat also seeks to create a community of cat lovers by providing a place for fun social and educational events.
