My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Conner’s Love Is Blind—Will You Be His Vision?

Meet Conner this sweet 4-year-old Yorkie is bursting with love and thrives on being close to his person. He loves to be carried and is happiest when snuggling beside you. With his limited eyesight, Conner will need extra care as he adjusts to a new home, but his endless affection and cozy cuddles will make it all worthwhile.

- Conner has special eye care needs, requiring lifelong daily medication and regular follow-up visits with an ophthalmologist due to cataracts and limited vision. He can struggle with navigation in dim light and at night.

-He’s a mellow, easygoing boy who loves to lounge on the couch and curl up in bed with you.

- Conner gets along well with other dogs but would also be happy as the only dog in the house.

- Conner loves toys and enjoys playing with them!

- He’s good with kids, but older children are recommended due to his small size.

- Conner’s ideal home would be with someone who works from home or has a calm, laid-back lifestyle, or who can take him along on daily activities.

- You’ll never feel lonely with Conner—he’ll happily follow you wherever you go!

- He wears a belly band indoors but is learning to potty outside with a consistent schedule.

- Not a fan of the crate, but he’s well-behaved when left out.

** Conner’s ophthalmic exam showed hypermature cataracts in both eyes, and there is concern he may have Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), which could lead to further vision loss over time. While cataract surgery may or may not restore some vision, if he has PRA, his blindness may gradually progress from nighttime to daytime. His condition will require lifelong care and meds, but his love and devotion will be priceless in return.

Conner is looking for a special home that understands his needs and can provide the love and safety he deserves. Could you be his forever family?
