Meet Pickle! This sweet chunky boy is part piggie, part pittie and 100% cuddle bug! Pickle has a zest for life and has won over his foster parents with his bubbly personality and his award-winning smile. Pickle’s favorite hobbies include chewing on squeaky toys, cuddling, and eating anything he can find. We told you he’s part pig!
Pickle was found wandering the streets of Philly as a stray. He was missing some fur and a bit underweight but was incredibly friendly to the animal control officers who found him. He was transported to animal control where he was lucky to be pulled by Philly Bully Team. He’s now living the good life in foster care and looking for his forever home!
Pickle can thrive in a variety of homes! He loves all people, big and small. He’s done well meeting kids and strangers. He sometimes forgets how big he is and has no concept of personal space, which is why we love him! He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, but he’s still learning how to most appropriately express his love without jumping into your lap, licking your face, and nibbling gently on your hands. Pickle is a medium energy boy. He does well with one or two 20-30 minute walks per day and LOVES playing tug inside the house. He can play for as long as you‘re willing! Pickle is extremely food motivated, which makes training a breeze, and he walks very well on leash with very minimal pulling. At the end of the day, Pickle loves nothing more than to snuggle up next to you getting pets and staring at you with his big dopey eyes. When he’s really enjoying the scratches he’ll snort like his true piggy self. He’s fully house trained and does fine in the crate, but prefers his dog bed and isn’t destructive when left alone!
Pickle is quite neutral around other dogs. He’s completely fine walking with dog pals and passing by them, but his lack of interest in his foster sister has shown us that he’d likely prefer to be your one and only! He has yet to meet any cat friends but his enthusiasm around the squirrels and bunnies in the back yard make us think he might be a little too interested. Overall, Pickle is looking for a safe home where he can be his true goofy self, and he can shower you with love for life!
