Meet Dopey!

Dopey is one of our “7 dwarf” pups! He doesn’t live up to the name though; he’s very smart! We are working on teaching him some of the basics while he is here with us, and he’s picking up on things very quickly! He is learning to walk on a leash, and how to “sit”, “stay”, and “lay down”!

Dopey is the first of our litter to be ready to go to a new home, and he is looking for someone who is ready to teach him all the ways to be an awesome pup. Maybe someday his ears will figure things out, but for now they are trying out up, down, both up, both down. Any way you slice it, he’s adorable and ready to go!

Dopey is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all of his age-appropriate vaccinations. He is too young to be checked for Heartworm.

We welcome interested adopters to visit with various adoptable pets 10am - 4pm Tuesday through Saturday at 3881 S Tripp Rd, Osseo, MI. No appointment is necessary.

Please allow at least an hour for the adoption process.

There are exceptions, but typically adoptions are the same day.

We know our pet photos are adorable, but it's best to select your companion based on their personality and compatibility with your family and lifestyle. It is important to that you bring any children with you to meet potential pets. We also recommend that all family members be present for an adoption. Spending quality time with any potential pet is key. This will help ensure that your potential pet is the best possible fit for everyone in the family. We welcome all adopters, from any county or state.

We prefer if you complete an application prior to meeting the animals so we can help you make a great match.

This is accomplished through education, quality and compassionate care of the animals received at the shelter, and community outreach. GHHS obtains funding through donations, fees for services, and fundraisers.
